Distraught over the pain she has caused Mark, Yvonne swallows a bottle of sleeping pills, but Astrid and Howell save her. After seeing Nick's portfolio, Hilary arranges a draftsman's job for him at Cardway; however he is later revealed to be an industrial spy working for company rival Sharon Coby. At the vjail, Summer lashes out at Brian, and then they grow closer.
