Adarsh lies to his family and threatens to burn the money. Komal stops him and asserts that the money is hers alone. Naina demands to know if Adarsh did something wrong to get the cash. Naina asks Adarsh to swear on her if the money is untainted. Adarsh fulfils his mother's wish. The family is relieved, but Adarsh is disturbed. Krishna demands to know where Pratigya got her money from. She tells him that she wrote an article for a newspaper. Pratigya shows Krishna the article to prove herself. Krishna asks a young boy to read the article out for him. He realises his mistake and tries to apologise to Pratigya. Pratigya tells Krishna that she earned money without leaving the house. Shyam asks Adarsh how much he earns. Naina brings out a large wad of cash and questions him about it.
