The police show up at the Stjärnberg commune and interrogate Dan. Annie suspects that Dan is lying about the midsummer night. Birger discovers that Barbro is not telling the truth about her midsummer night either. In Norway, Johan sees newspaper articles about the tent murders. 18 years later, Birger contacts the ex-policeman Åke, who still has the investigation files from the murder. It turns out that the police may have overlooked a possible perpetrator.
