Trying to delay the Japanese team as much a possible, Pierrot develops a long term reaction over the course of the episode. Pierrot's reaction includes a complex code that only Azuma solves, revealing he is very strong when it comes to numbers. After much procrastination, Pierrot finally dives in, discovering that because of his reaction to Azuma's bread he had obtained gills and was able to swim the 2 to 3 kilometers.
