David Attenborough tells the inspiring story of 12 horses, raised in European zoos and chosen to take part in a brave and uncertain return to the wild in central France. Belinda, Ellen and 1 -year-old Malek are Przewalski's horses, whose ancestors roamed Europe in prehistoric times and were immortalised in the Lascaux cave paintings. Today the species is extinct in the wild and these three animals have grown up in the confines of Marwell Zoo in Hampshire. This beautiful and moving film records their release into the wild, an epic journey of danger and discovery that will change the horses'lives and could affect the future of their species.
