PC Tony Stamp attends the funeral of Simon Attwell, the pedestrian he killed driving the area car, and Attwell's girlfriend makes a complaint of harassment to Inspector Monroe. Stamp and Ashton try to help a young boy whose mother is in court. Stamp is furious when Dave Quinnan tells him he has been called as a prosecution witness in Tony's trial.
