A new class begins at the Police Academy in Rotterdam after a rigorous selection process. While for some, this is the realization of their dream, for others, their past seems to stand in the way of furthering their career in the police force.

The tension of going out on the streets for the first time in uniform is high. While one person completely freezes during their first contact with civilians, another ends up in a major conflict with a colleague. Slowly, they begin to realize what lies ahead for them in the coming years.

After the students have encountered the harsh realities of life on the streets for the first time, they are harshly confronted at school with ingrained behaviors that need to change. Additionally, for one of the students, a difficult personal situation threatens their progress in the program.

While one must become tougher and learn to set boundaries, another is forced to let go of friendships. To what extent can you remain yourself as a police officer?

Intense calls also affect the rookie officers personally. For one of them, it hits particularly close to home, triggering a childhood trauma.
