A man suspected of bashing a wealthy woman to death is fleeing in a car, pursued by Sgt. Mackay and Det. Barnes. They find the car in the bush at Warrandyte, with a dummy rigged up in the front seat, and dynamite in the back with the fuse nearly burnt down.
