The Tauern Bahn. From Salzburg the train travels through the Gasteiner valley to the Tauerntunnel, a climb of more than 600 metres through narrow valleys, tunnels, and over viaducts. After the 8 kilometre long tunnel the tracks descend until it reaches the shores of the Wörther See and Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia.
