World heritage sites in danger + Living long, and well (2013x12)

UNESCO has placed the 6 World Heritage sites in Syria on the List of World Heritage in Danger. The Ancient City of Aleppo is considered to be at particular risk. As the country's internal conflict intensifies, many of cultural locales and objects are caught in the crossfire.
