In the East Texas town of Gilmer a high school girl, Kelly Wilson, goes missing. Local townspeople begin to believe a Satanic cult is to blame. Suspected cult members are arrested for the girls murder - including the lead police investigator. But an outside investigator re-opens the investigation and discovers that things in Gilmer are not as they appear.
