Shane returns home from the clinic, now walking with only a cane. Phillip asks Kim to stay in Salem longer while he produces a film; she agrees. When they can't find a babysitter, Shane and Kim have dinner at home. Kim drinks bourbon, and her alters resurface, urging her to leave.
Marlena returns from her trip and confronts Roman about his cool reception. She kisses him passionately. Roman later asks her to quit her job and return to private practice. A family therapy session with Roger, Stella, and Jesse follows.
Carrie, desperate for money, makes another bet and agrees to go out with Austin's friend Tim to make Austin jealous. She invites Tim, Roman, and Marlena to a dinner party at her apartment. Roger visits Stella, expressing his determination not to disappoint Marlena, but after he leaves, Stella angrily sweeps her desk clean while muttering Marlena's name.
