John and Isabella return home to find a brick thrown through their window with a threatening note calling John a liar and sellout. Concerned for his family's safety, John leaves them with Shawn and Caroline, then contacts Victor about the incident.
Victor reveals there's been unrest on the docks in recent days. John investigates and discovers Roger is spreading rumors. When confronted, Roger denies involvement.
Meanwhile, Victor returns to his yacht and finds Nicholas on the couch. Vivian admits Nicholas is her adopted son, the illegitimate child of a servant who recently arrived in town. She reveals she now plans to keep him in Salem rather than send him back to Switzerland.
