The Lombards attend counseling with Marlena, where Roger expresses feeling like an outsider in his family, believing Stella has always favored Jesse. He walks out upset. Stella later reveals her mother is gravely ill in Florida and she and Roger must leave, canceling future sessions. However, Marlena discovers at the docks that Roger isn't actually going with Stella.
Meanwhile, Roman brings Carrie to the police station to identify a suspect from a lineup, joined by Bo and Caroline. None of them can identify anyone.
On the pier, Molly struggles with a dark secret. After Gavin intimidates her, Tanner finds her and gently pushes for the truth. Molly finally confides that she was assaulted by Professor Newurth. Though Tanner immediately wants to confront the man, Molly needs his emotional support, so he stays and holds her instead.
