John obtains a codicil from Vivian and takes it to Victor, who has it examined by a forger, it's fake. John tells Vivian he'll return it after showing Isabella, asking her to arrange a meeting with Lawrence and Lisanne.
At home, Roman discovers a broken candlestick and confronts Carrie, who lies and claims responsibility. At the hospital, Marlena notices bruises on Jesse during a session with him and Roger, and their word associations ("jail" for marriage; "hurt" for father) suggest abuse. Roman learns police uniforms have been stolen but remains on holiday.
Back home, Roman and Carrie argue. Jesse calls Carrie to meet; she overhears Roman and Marlena discussing Jesse's physical abuse and Marlena's plan to gather evidence to remove him from his home. Carrie announces she's still leaving despite her parents' concerns.
