Justin confronts Victor for bribing Adrienne. Victor claims he acted out of concern, but Justin insists he can make the relationship work. When Justin tells Adrienne he knows about the money, she refuses to explain why she needed it and pushes him away, saying their worlds don’t fit. Justin senses she’s hiding something.
Jack, hospitalized and growing weaker, tells Kayla he’ll marry her someday. Steve, who had planned to propose, becomes distant, torn between Kayla and loyalty to Jack. When Jack asks for Kayla, Steve steps aside, saying Jack needs her more. Jo worries, and Kayla struggles to understand Steve’s coldness.
The episode closes with Justin singing alone as Adrienne leaves, and Kayla sitting by Jack’s bedside while Steve watches from the doorway.
