Jennifer infiltrates a prostitution ring to find missing girl Sasha. With Frankie's help, she sedates a client to avoid assault, then escapes the hotel. Though they find no trace of Sasha, Frankie agrees to continue helping Jennifer despite the danger.
Meanwhile, Jack collapses and learns his cancer has returned and is advanced. He'll begin chemotherapy. At the hospital, Jack asks Kayla if they have a chance together, seeking hope and strength. Steve, Jack's long-lost brother Billy, struggles with learning Jack is ill and loves Kayla the woman Steve himself is in love with and engaged to. Steve visits a sleeping Jack at the hospital, emotionally affected by their shared orphanage past. Kayla, unaware of the brothers' connection, holds onto Steve's necklace and whispers his name.
