Steve, still a fugitive, refuses Jack’s attempt to blackmail him into leaving Kayla. Kayla learns what Jack did and reassures Steve of her commitment.
Diana initially refuses to help Steve, but Kayla convinces her by appealing to her sense of love and loyalty. When Steve grows impatient and tries to leave hiding, Kayla stops him with the news that Diana came through.
