Steve and Kayla flee authorities after Steve wins money hustling pool in a bar. When confronted by armed locals, they escape to a plane hangar and Steve pilots a plane despite Kayla's protests. The aircraft crashes into a mountain, leaving their fate unknown. Justin secretly posts bail for Adrienne, who was arrested during a riot. Adrienne later discovers the riot was staged and paid for, leading her to confront Victor at the mansion where she's shocked to discover Justin is a Kiriakis. At the hospital, a shot man named Hans arrives with Kimberly. Diana recognizes him from a photo with her deceased fiancé James, proving a connection between them. Before dying in surgery, Hans gives nurse Robin a computer disc to deliver to Kimberly. Simon steals Hans's passport to prevent identification. Meanwhile, FBI agent Daniels traces Kayla's phone call to Roman and locates Steve at the bar.
