A woodpecker keeps a man from sleeping at night in his own home. Mr. Dinkle is tired. He wants to sleep and dream of pretty girls. A woodpecker wants to peck a new home. He disturbs Mr. Dinkle, who takes an axe to the tree. Now the woodpecker pecks a hole in the house and falls in love with the cuckoo in Mr. Dinkle's clock.
