Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta, who received a request to find a cat, are busy trying to fulfill their promise to the client that they will find it by the weekend. Conan and Haibara join them, and as they are talking around the area where the cat's traces have disappeared, Detectives Takagi and Chiba appear. The two are searching for a "tall man who wears work clothes," who was mentioned by Takahiro Matoi, a witness in the previous night's crime, as a possible alibi witness. Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta, who searched the area until late into the night, offer to cooperate with the investigation, but have no memory of seeing such a man. Who is the mysterious giant who will be a witness to the crime?
