This first episode of A&E's series Mummies and the Wonders of Ancient Egypt examines the pyramids, perhaps the region's most salient feature. New theories are offered to explain the construction of these monolithic structures. Also included are discussions of the religion and worldview that allowed such structures to be built. Also included are brief histories of the exploration of each pyramid.
