Archive footage of the most pivotal events from the last ten years and readings from his memoirs provide an insight into British politics from the press secretary once labelled 'the second most powerful man in the country'. This episode begins with the events of September 11th 2001 and ends with Campbell leaving Downing Street. In between are events such as the war with Iraq, the death of Dr David Kelly, the extraordinary row with the BBC, and the Hutton enquiry.
