Sally Spencer, whose husband lost his fortune due to internet gambling, now relies on charity food parcels in rural France to get by. She and friend Victoria decide to set up a cleaning company to ease her problems. Terry Bennett is desperate to return to Britain following a stroke but is finding it hard to sell his 10-bedroom villa in Spain. Sandy and Rob Loder, whose dreams of a mobility scooter empire in Florida, find their dreams being dashed after a business deal they invested their life savings in goes bad. Rob’s visa means he can’t work in America leaving Sandy forced to look for employment as a waitress.
