Preparing & Toasting Oak To Age Spirits - Whiskey, Whisky or Moonshine (2x10)

Today I am taking a hunk of American white oak and getting it ready to age spirits with.
I need to cut it, split it and toast it.
Although I am using American White Oak, other suitable woods are prepped in the same way.
