On a cold day on the farm, Brenda's pond freezes over. The animals discover the relationship between ice and water. Godfrey wants to slide on the ice, but he does it so hard that he cracks the ice, revealing water again. When he sinks, it's up to Martha, Brenda and the rat pack to rescue him from drowning as a serious proclamation that icy places are just dangerous to play on. They'd prefer only Brenda and Davenport to skate on it instead tomorrow.
