A letter written in hieroglyphics reaches Doctor Yamatone. In it he is warned that the extinct volcano Kemmler is about to explode. The volcano explodes as expected and the doctors travel to the site in a supercar. There, the letter's sender, Mu, takes the group on a guided tour, but Mu is actually an evil old woman who controls vampire bats. Mew kidnaps Marie and lures Fantaman. From the boiling lava comes the monstrous Shellgon!
