Jan makes an impression on Sir Edward when she presents her business plan to the committee for the private venture capital. Leo admits to Amanda that he's never really had a girlfriend. The surveyors give their opinion that the catamaran disaster was a result of faulty design or construction. Sir Edward dines with Jan. When Ken cools their passion, Sarah accuses him of thinking of Jan. Amanda wants a partnership with Leo. Kate warns Jan to not make the same mistake with Edward that Lynne did with his son. Gerald shares something deeply personal with Polly. Sir Edward gives Jan the committee's decision. Kate and Jack get through to Tom. Ken comes out on top in the race, but Mark wins another battle.
