Throughout history, there have been six massive extinctions on Earth, each caused by different catastrophic events. Humans have become the dominant species and our actions have led to the current sixth mass extinction. Species are dying out at an alarming rate, and if our destructive trend persists, half of all living species could be extinct in the next 100 years. To help prevent this, we can all take action to reduce our footprint on the planet by composting, recycling, starting an edible garden, eating less meat, and walking or biking instead of driving. It's important to remember that every one of us is part of this world and our actions have an impact on the world around us.
