The 8,000 square kilometers of the Community are a relatively small extension for the great amount of landscapes, contrasts and nuances that it gathers. Under the snowy mountains, the valley of Lozoya, El Paular, Rascafría and Pinilla. We ascend again to Navafría, we fly over the Lozoya river and its reservoirs, and after Riosequillo we reach Buitrago. In the northern valleys are located the "cubetas" that supply drinking water to Madrid, considered the best in Europe. In the reservoirs themselves it is common to find places to practice water sports. Possibly that of El Atazar is the most spectacular, with 115 meters of height in its main dam. The trip continues towards La Puebla de la Sierra and La Hiruela, two of the most isolated villages of the Community, embedded in the valley floor.
