Five years ago, conductor Shumpei Natsume stood on the podium in the musical city of Vienna and thrilled his audience. However, Shumpei had no way of knowing at the time. The worst had happened to his daughter Hibiki. Five years later, in autumn 2023. Shumpei had quit his job as a conductor and was alone in Vienna. His family had left him. Shumpei receives a call from Shiho in Japan for the first time in five years. Shiho, a painter, has taken a job in France and asks him to look after her children in Japan. Thus, Shumpei returns home for the first time in 20 years. Shumpei is then told by Shiraishi Issei, the mayor of Harumi, about the difficult situation the Harumi Philharmonic is in. Furthermore, when he goes to a practice session of the Harumi Philharmonic Orchestra, he hears something else...
