The episode begins with history of al-Hassan Ben al-Sabah, leader and founder of the famous group Al-Hashashasheen. The episode then calls into question many of the woven narratives about this band, since although they engaged in many acts of violence, they were not the mythology around which they were built. The seminar reviews the history of the conflict between the Slogans and the Fatimids in which the Hashashasheen community appeared.
