Since confronting the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany in World War II, Russians began trying to reach a weapon that rewarded German rifles at the time, hence the roots of the Kalashnikov or AK-47. The proliferation of that weapon has not stopped, and it has even become a symbol of many armies or armed groups in some countries' flags, killing more people alone than atomic bombs.
