Make-up, heavy - a deep dusty coating, fanned by great remote-controlled eyelashes. Waistline, unnaturally small and tight. Swimsuit, sculptured to emphasise endless thighs. The exposure, tremendous - it's got to be tremendous, for these are The Beauty Queens. Tonight, to examine nature in the raw, we join these perambulating bathing-beauties, crowned and uncrowned, on and off the catwalk, to share their triumphs and defeats as they sway towards their ultimate trial - the day of Miss World!
