Zhou Fei is known for her good martial arts skills in the 48 Mountain Strongholds. However, her mother, the chief, is especially strict with her. Her cousin, Li Sheng, feels competitive and inferior to her. A trespasser happens to save them both when they try crossing the infamous Ximo River's Weaving Formation, unaware that it is a trap set by the river's guardian. Indebted to Xie Yun, Zhou Fei decides to let him escape.
