Bunji takes the entire class's supply of chimaki peels home after lunch. Ma follows, along with others. Mom watches over them as they plot to do something with the chimaki peels... Bunji is eating a ghost-shrimp lunch set. Without thinking about the amount, he dumps all the eggs into the water tank. Out pours a red tide, followed by a harrowing sight... Mom and the gang go on a parent-child picnic on a beautiful spring afternoon. The mothers moan and complain as the kids get all messy from playing in the sandpit, but in truth Mom isn't as upset as she pretends to be. Bunji gets better at tadpole rescuing every year. He's surpassed 300 tadpoles this year. When deciding whether or not to throw them away or use as bait, Bunji, Ma and the others form the tadpole rescue team...
