Prime Minister Espen Barth Eide comes to Faryab to lead the ceremony when the camp and the responsibility for security are left to the Afghans. "Our role is to help, not to drive the country for you," says the Defense Minister's last word to the Afghan security forces. But neither the hospital nor the radio connection that is handed over to the Afghan army live up to expectations, nor does the kitchen that the Norwegians have built in the camp in so-called Afghan manner.
