In the south of Benin, in West Africa, irreducible fishermen, the Tofinu, live in Ganvié, a lakeside city of 35,000 inhabitants, nicknamed "the little Venice of Africa". Here, no roads or sidewalks. The canoe is the only way to move between the houses suspended above the waves of Lake Nokoué. Alexandra Alveque spent two weeks with Paul, a fisherman, and his family of 17 children.
