Maik has a new plan to get hold of the monstrance: he wants to help the bank director Erdmann save his marriage. After all, he currently "lives" in the bank, in whose safe deposit box the valuable church treasure is kept. But the Erdmanns' marital crisis is more serious than Maik suspected.
