In wanting to save a Goumoun, a big hairy docile and affectionate quadruped, from a cruel and brutal zoo director, Valerian is bitten by a mad bird. He sinks slowly into madness. No longer recognizing Laureline, it puts their lives at risk. Lauren has 37 hours to find the single existing remedy: the propyniam. Only problem is, this yellow flower, only grows on one place in the galaxy, Podalune, dubbed the world's one hundred thousand trees with branches ... Engaged in this race against time, will Laureline succeed to find this flower before Valerian reaches the final stage of his terrible evil eternal coma? ...
