Michael Lally, who co-founded Druid Theatre in Galway, was an acclaimed stage actor who became a household favourite when took the role as Miley in the television soap Glenroe. Lally also starred in the BBC's Ballykissangel, and Hollywood blockbuster Alexander, directed by Oliver Stone.
