Girls' Generation (Hangul: 소녀시대; Kanji: 少女時代; also known as SNSD or SoShi) is an eight-member girl group under SM Entertainment. Originally as nine, they debuted on August 5, 2007 with their first single "Into the New World". They are often referred to as "The Nation's Girl Group". Members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun.
