Florian and his girlfriend Mirjam have become "garbage divers" for ideological reasons. They take expired but still edible goods from waste containers. This time there is also a box of mini cakes. But after Florian has eaten it, he collapses poisoned. The SOKO suspects a targeted attack on the garbage divers, and so it first investigates their neighbors. When it turns out that bloodstains on a carpet found at Florian's house indicate the murder of a German prostitute, the case takes a surprising turn.
