Kurisu, who joined Royal Human at the invitation of Kozo (Sato Koichi), is immediately assigned to be the full-time secretary of the horse racing division. However, one of his duties is to deal with Kozo's wife, Kyoko, who dislikes horse racing. One day, Yutaro, citing dissatisfaction among young employees, pressures his father, Kozo, to disband the horse racing division if the company does not win a race in the JRA this year. Kozo accepts this and takes Kurisu to the Miho Training Center to help Royal Fight, who he believes will be the most valuable asset, win. However, Kozo's aggressiveness angers trainer Tadokoro, who rebels against him, leading to a breakup. Kurisu is forced to immediately begin searching for a new trainer at Kozo's request. Meanwhile, Kurisu meets Kanako, who is in Tokyo for a race for one of her horses. He learns of an excellent trainer named Hironaka and visits his stables.
