The next morning, Maitén perplexes Rodolfo by assuring him that they saw each other the night before, a feeling of bewilderment he also shares with Chantal. Determined to break away from his new identity, Pelluco gives Basilio a check for an exorbitant sum. Shortly after, Maitén's son confesses to his friend that the time has come to get his real life back.
