Joaquin is dragged to jail by Raul and the police. Aguirre tells Raul that the documents needed to incriminate Joaquin are all lost. Several supporters protest outside the municipal hall to set the former mayor free. Esperanza, Buboy, and Cecille testify against Joaquin, but all their efforts go down the drain because of one rogue witness.
