Emma and Pierre are confronted with the burglary of their respective offices by three teenagers from the village. The behaviour of these idle young people is opposed to the aspirations of Inès, a young girl from the city who thrives in contact with nature. At the crossroads of the lives of those who want to leave and those who are trying to put down roots, the doc and the veto have a lot to do to reconcile the inhabitants of Valerande-les-Chantelles.
