Déborah confesses that Federico is the father of her child, to Carlos Manuel’s pain and surprise. Hernán hands Carlos Manuel the portrait of his mother’s murderer, and Carlos Manuel learns that Déborah poisoned Jacinta. Federico strangles Déborah to death.
