Encouraged by Paul, Nihat makes a covert attempt to open up to Lilly, but she turns him down out of insecurity. When Nihat then flirts with someone else, Lilly is stung. Philip can't bring himself to come clean with John, so Emily jumps to his side and makes up a lie for their argument. Meanwhile, John shows his mother how much their relationship has improved recently.
