The surfers of the 70s tell us what the surfing market was like at the time and the difficulty of finding equipment, especially paraffin. As the boards did not have a string, the grace was to give "the strip" to the top when the wave closed. The ropes began to appear at the end of the board and, little by little, were being improved so as not to hurt the surfers.
